Why We Do It This Way
Nearly every business that has hired a commercial cleaner has the same story. The first month was great. By month four, different people were showing up, things were being missed, and nobody could point to a document saying what should have been done in the first place. Eventually someone in the office starts quietly re-cleaning the kitchen, and the contract limps along until it gets cancelled.
The Cleaning Machine is set up specifically to avoid that pattern. Not through promises about quality. Every cleaning company promises quality, but through structure: a written scope of work, a consistent assigned crew, fixed pricing, and one person you can actually call.
What We Clean
Offices, in Kitchener and Waterloo. Professional suites, open-plan floors, coworking spaces and multi-tenant office buildings. The regular clean covers washrooms, kitchens, desks and floors on a set schedule. Deep carpet washing and interior window cleaning are add-ons, quoted separately and booked when you need them.
That focus is deliberate. Plenty of cleaning companies list a dozen facility types on their website, because a longer list looks more capable. In practice it usually means the same crew doing all of it with the same generic approach. We are a small company and we would rather be genuinely good at offices than passable at everything.
We do not do residential work either, and we do not clean the outside of windows. Both need different equipment and setup, and taking them on when we are not equipped for it would serve nobody.
Insurance
We carry $2,000,000 in general liability insurance. Most commercial clients ask for proof of coverage before awarding a contract, and some building managers will not let a contractor on site without it, so we can provide a certificate on request.
How We Quote
We do not give prices over the phone for spaces we have not seen. A 5,000 square foot office split into private offices with two washrooms and carpet throughout is a completely different job from the same square footage as one open-plan floor with a full kitchen and shared workspaces, and quoting either one blind produces a number that has to be corrected later.
So we walk the site first. It is free, it takes about half an hour, and you get a fixed written price against a scope you can hold us to. If we are not the right fit for your facility, we will say so.
Working with Us
You get one point of contact, not a call centre, not a different account manager each quarter. Schedule changes, extra requests, periodic work and any issues all go through the same person. Our crews are uniformed, and we work to your building's access and security procedures, whatever those happen to be.
